The Holidays are here!
Despite how much fun this season can be, it can also get tiring and hectic. For those who might need a break, or even an escape from the crazy, I wanted to share some of my discounted books. Some have a holiday theme. Some are adventures waiting to happen. Below I've listed each book, what it's about, and a link to find out more. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

BELIEVING IN THE GOODNESSThis post was previously published back in 2016. It’s still timely for today, so I thought it needed to be revisited. Hope it blesses you!
Ever have one of those days when everything you've worked hard for seems to be falling apart? Like you're nothing but a big stinking failure? And everything you touch doesn't turn to gold, but rather mud? Failure. I think that is based on a FEAR that we aren't good enough. Aren't worth having good things happen to us. We've made bad choices. We've charged ahead in our lives, wrapped up in trying to succeed, into making a living, in simply surviving. And all our spinning and toil results in nothing but a pile of straw. When I was researching places to put Madison Creek, I found this one little town called Ludington which is located right on Lake Michigan. Perfect! During one of our family trips up there, I used some of my time researching coastal towns. When I reached Ludington, I wasn't disappointed. Wow!
We also stopped in Muskegon, Holland, and a few other places in that area before heading up near the top of the mitten where Mr. Castle’s family lives. Ludington captured my heart and was exactly what I pictured Madison Creek someday being. The people there are friendly and the B&B owners often meet together and help each other out which I loved hearing about. This week I'll be celebrating my 54th Birthday.
And today, Sunday Aug. 9th is National Book Lovers Day. Combine the two and we have Castle's Story World Book Lovers Birthday Bash! (the crowd cheers, applause all around...) Well, that's how it plays out in my head. Ha! Keep reading for this week's special deals and fun stuff going on over at Castle's Story World on Facebook. There will be several times this week, where I'll ask a birthday released question. Those who leave a comment will be in the running to win a free book from my newest releases. I hope to see you there... ![]() An impossible demand. A woman who hates him. He needs a miracle. Can he get it in time? Expert animal trainer, Seth McGuire, has put everything into his animal rescue charity. With less than six months until his 35th birthday, his father completely blindsided him with an impossible demand. He must be married by his birthday, or lose the trust fund that finances his charities. Yeah, right—he will not lose his charity! Online dating sites, here he comes! Noelle Combs is offered an opportunity to take her relationship coaching blog and turn it into a regular television show. And she has a decent chance, too—if she can figure out a way to take the stars of her blog—two, rowdy, uncontrollable Great Danes—and tame them enough to be manageable on the show. Good thing her agent finds her the perfect animal trainer. Bad thing –it’s the man who broke her heart several years ago. When Noelle agrees to be Seth’s relationship coach, he can’t believe that he ever let this woman go. Sparks fly as they try to help each other attain their goals. Now they are faced with a choice: forgive the past or walk away and lose the only true love they've ever had. This book was recently released as Her Quiet Billionaire Groom Who doesn't love a good fairy tale?
We think they are for kids, but I disagree. I think they are full of treasures for the one willing to look. I think that's why they are told again and again in various ways. For a couple of years, I've felt nudged to write some fairy tale retellings, and I'm glad that I listened to that inner nudging. Like parables, these old stories have a way of reaching through time with some hard truths that resonate even today. Last week, we talked about how things went in the Story World in 2019. Today, we'll be looking ahead!
This week, I'd like to share some of my vision for 2020. First off, I'm determined to have a plan. I've always been a "come what may" kind of girl, but not anymore. I'm tired to running to keep up. This year is my big step in getting ahead and sticking to a plan. Wish me luck. 🙄 As 2019 came to a close, I decided to make a State of the Storyworld post to update everyone on how this past year went. I have to say, we started off strong in quarter 1&2, but then came the summer and .... well? Life Happened.
Overall, Jackie Castle rocked the keyboard this year over J. R. Castle. But we'll get to that in a bit. In our defense, between family moving into the castle, bringing two little gremlins with them, and the death of a dear family member around Thanksgiving, I'm surprised I was able to get as much done as I did. So, here's a recap of this year's accomplishments, in case you missed something... read on--> Intro text
