His instructions are firm and often repeated: "Stand firm and see..."  This is the gift God gives to us--to trust Him in every situation. Nothing is too hard for Him. Nothing. Our deliverance is in His hands. He will daily demonstrate His power and authority, if we will stand firm and watch Him do it. Many of our battles go on inside of our minds. Fear of failure. Fear of not being good enough. Fear of the next disaster. Victory in those moments is when God established His peace in our hearts. Then we have a revelation of His greatness. Reman under the shelter of His wings and no harm will come upon us. (A Psalm 91 promise.) Thank you Father God for fighting the battles for us. Amen.

You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. Have you ever considered the ‘why’ behind what you pray for? Do you even remember what, exactly, you prayed for the last time you went before the Lord God Almighty?  In the highs and the lows-- I will find contentment...  I will...with His help... manage the hard things. He will show me ways to make it work, to thrive, to use what I have. ALL-- That's the good and the bad that come my way. I can face it all...through Him. I can find my way...with Him.  That's the beauty of this journey.
Even if I can't see where things are going, He will get me there. The Lord’s Prayer “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’” Matthew 6:9-13  Be strong of of good courage, do not fear or be afraid of them for the Lord you God, He is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you, nor forsake you. To trust in our God and to believe that He is with us and will speak to us. That he loves us and will take care of us in times of good and bad. With Him on our side, what do we have to fear? Honestly? He loves us. He wants to walk with us. He wants us to depend on him. Dive into his word. Learn His ways. Learn a better way to live, to love, to get along in this world. I've been a believer all my life. Yet, understanding how prayer works, how to pray effectively, and even understanding why I want to learn this, came much, much later. There is something about having God's ear, about knowing that he is not only listening to me, but he wants to listen, to help, to be a part of my life. This deep-hearted understanding has helped to keep me from feeling alone. Isn't it crazy how alone we can feel at times, even in a world full of people, even in a house full of family? We think that nobody understands us. That nobody really cares. That nobody is listening. I'm here to tell you that is a lie from the enemy. It's not true. You are valuable. You have been created for a purpose here on earth and into eternity. God paid a great price so that you can get close to Him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:6-7 (ESV)  Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand... Isa. 41:10  Get to know Jesus well... Because the more you know him, the more you'll love him. The more you love him, the more you'll want to follow him. The more you follow him, the more you'll become like him. Help me to become a little more like him, each and every day. Speak to me through your word, through your beautiful world, and through your wonderful children, to encourage my heart to seek you more. In following Jesus and his examples, may I also find who you created me to be, and the perfect plans you have designed for my life. Thank you, Father, for your loving kindness. If you want to step out of the mundane, to rise above the chaos of this world and society’s way of thinking, then that change starts with effective prayer. If you want to see changes, but feel they are beyond your abilities to make a difference, I want to direct you to what God said in 2 Chronicles 7:14-- If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. This promise is just as truthful as it was back when it was first penned. Come along, and let’s take a little journey toward learning how to become a true Prayer Warrior so that you can make a difference in the Kingdom of God and the world we live in. Today, let us rejoice in all the goodness God has bestowed on us. No matter what is going on in our lives- He will walk beside us through the good and bad. All we have to do is ask. Look around. See how the earth in spring shouts for joy? Joy over renewal. Joy over rebirth. His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness.
