Let's face it, even though many of us will never give up or print book, the fact of the matter is that e-books are also a great way to read books, and lots of them.
This week, I'm going to share some great hacks to get the most out of your e-reader. Though your mileage might vary according to the type of reader you own, most of the tips work across the board. As a side note, this article does contain a few affiliate links meaning if you purchase something, I'll get a little bit of pocket change in return. =) Grab your earbuds! Through the Portal is now available in Audio. Narrated by the talented, Fred Wolinsky. I'm so excited to offer this new product to you. Christmas is coming. What a great gift for your kids to listen to on their way to school, or after. Let them join in Malakai LeCrue's fantastical adventures into the Realm of the Neverworlds of Fae. Check out the sample chapter: I'm so excited about my first audio book experience. It's been a great adventure. First off, once I decided that I wanted to put Through the Portal into audio, I had to do some research. I've never done an audio before. So after spending a couple of weeks checking out articles and sites, I settled on using ACX. The next step was to find the perfect narrator. And boy howdy are there a lot of voices to go through. Eventually, I found Fred Woninsky and what a blessing that was. Fred is a marvel at coming up with fun voices. If you've read Through The Portal, you know there are a lot of characters, both human and fantastical. He masterfully delivered on every one of them, from Malakai all the way down to Myrtle the mouse. Not to mention I adored listening to Lance the Woodelf come alive with his rhyming speech, a side effect from losing a bet with a bog witch. This story was fun to start off with, but Fred has taken it to all new level of fun! Check out the sample below. The audible version should be available soon. Please let me know what you think. Do you enjoy listening to books on audio? If so, when and where do you listen? While driving, exercising, or while you relax? I'm curious. Leave a comment and let me know your experiences and thoughts. Maybe I'll put more of my books on audio if people are interested.
