I find it amazing where my books can end up. Actually, I find it more than amazing. I've had my moments when I dreamed of being a missionary and traveling the world, but it's never quite worked out for me. We can't all be missionaries, right? But I've found that my books have traveled to places I could only dream of going. I've been contacted by people who've read my books in Africa, the Philippines, Australia, and just lately, someone who lives on a big boat. The boat is actually the Mercy Ship, and the reader was young Caleb who is an International Press reporter for Scholastic News. If you're not impressed, that's okay, because I was impressed enough for the both of us. So I'm contacted by someone who's representing Caleb. He's read my White Road Chronicle books and wants to do an interview.
I was thinking he'd email me the questions and I'd email them back. No, he wanted to skype our interview. Now it was getting interesting. I'd get to meet this reader who lived on a Mercy Ship on the other side of the world and has read my books. And seemed to really like them. Oh yeah, I wanted to do this. A little bit about Caleb. He's 14 years old. He's lived on the Mercy Ship most of his life. He's schooled there, too. I was truly honored to meet Caleb and really enjoyed our talk. His article came out this past week. I wanted to share it with you. You can read our interview here. It just goes to prove that you never know where your little heart desires might lead you. Maybe I'll never travel the world as a missionary, but my books are going places my heart has dreamed about for me. I'm good with that.
