January's Book Birthday Feature

Hello there!
I hope everyone is staying warm. Even down here in Texas, we are experiencing temps below normal. This is a perfect time for finding a huge book and wrap up in a fuzzy blanket to escape the cold with. 

Every month in 2022, I will pick a book from my backlist to celebrate. They will be birthday books, for sure. This month, I'm celebrating completing the novella series The White Road Tales. Five years ago, I put all the short stories into one big book and published it.

The White Road Tales is Tarek's story...

As some of you may already know, when I first wrote Tarek the hunter into the Illuminated, he was to be a throw-away character. But then he kept coming back. Then I realized there was a reason he kept showing back up. 

It was because Alyra and Tarek had a history...one that Alyra had no clue about until Darnel's spell on her mind began to heal during her time in Aloblase in the presence of King Shaydon and Prince Issah. Slowly, memories began to resurface and I decided that maybe I should write out what really happened.

That is how the novella series was born.

I've grown rather fond of Tarek over the course of the series. 

He's steadfast, dedicated, and has a heart to protect those he cares about. Who wouldn't like him? 
Yes, he's a little stubborn, but once his heart is won over, nothing stops him.
