Last week, we talked about how things went in the Story World in 2019. Today, we'll be looking ahead! This week, I'd like to share some of my vision for 2020. First off, I'm determined to have a plan. I've always been a "come what may" kind of girl, but not anymore. I'm tired to running to keep up. This year is my big step in getting ahead and sticking to a plan. Wish me luck. 🙄 Writing Goals...So, I have two or three series that I've not finished, despite my best efforts in 2019. (If you read last week's post, you'll know life simply didn't cooperate with me in the last half). Regardless... For my romance readers: I'm intent on finishing the Grimwood Billionaire series. I still have Suzette's story to tell, oh and then there is the missing brother... Yes, don't worry. I'll not leave you hanging. I also have a couple of more story ideas for Madison Creek, for those who love the small Michigan lakeside town. Plus, I'm working on putting the remaining books on audio and large print. Do you or anyone you know enjoy large print books? Let me know in the comments. The Lavender Vale Farm series will soon be bundled into one complete collection with a few special additions. I'll start looking for someone to narrate the the three stories and I'm still trying to decide if I'll put the whole collection in print or print each book individually. (It will depend on the total word count and ending costs for a print book). I also have a new series brewing, but it might have to wait until 2021. More on that later. For my fantasy readers, I'm currently working on finishing Leon and Kardia's tale in the Lionheart Province trilogy. I'm also working on a short story from the faun, Jael Azazel's point of view. It's been a lot of fun. If you're subscribed to my newsletter, you'll get to read it first. For free! I also have another Chronicles of Alburnium story in the works that should come out later in 2020. Looking way ahead, keep your eyes out for a new urban fantasy series called The Shrouded Havens. I hope to release a few short stories in 2020 that will build up to the main series as the world develops for me. This has been something I've wanted to work on for some time and the premise will be in line with the Sentinel Archives, but geared toward older readers. I'm excited about the story ideas I have brewing for 2020, I hope you will be, as well. Which series are you most eager to read in the coming year? Tell me in the comments below. Let's Hang Out...Another big goal of mine is to offer more engaging content in my newsletters and on social media. Want to see what inspires me as I write the Chronicles of Alburnium? Are you as excited about starting a new year as I am. It's like no matter how bad things were, I'm always hopeful in January that I can turn things around with God's help and direction. I usually spend most of December in prayer and thought, looking at where I might have went wrong and how I can improve in the areas I'm weak in. I love how Jesus said in Matthew 6: 25-34 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life..." He provides what we need when we need it. In the end of all the planning, it's Him I depend on to help me see things through. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." I'll be going about the business of first seeking His kingdom in all I do. When we keep our eyes on him, nothing will ever completely bring us down. The waves might crash and the storms rage, but He is right there, ready to catch us if we sink. Do you believe that? Oh, I hope you do. Blessings to all of you. See you around the Story World!
