What's Going On With Sun Kisses?

For those who are on my Royal Readers Team, I had sent out the beta version of Sun Kisses, then had to turn around and do a "re-call".  My editor felt the book needed more tweaking, so I'd asked those who'd already downloaded the original to either read with the understanding that a lot would change, or to wait for the updated version.

Here's What Happened....

In Raining Fools, I'd had two story lines going: Stephen and Bekka's and Haley and Ethans. It worked in Raining Fools because Ethan had such a strong connection to Stephen and Bekka. 

So, it was my intention to do that again in Sun Kisses. Unfortunately, Haley and Ethan's story line didn't flow as smoothly with Karen and Kelvin's main story. So, I had to cut it out. 
Cutting is always painful, but I feel the book is much stronger now.  I'm really grateful for my editor, Kathy. She's a gem. 

You might be wondering about Ethan and Haley's story thread? Well, they're still in Sun Kisses, but not as point of view characters this time. I've been struggling with how to tell the next story that kind of wraps up Haley and Ethan's story. (Don't worry, there will be more Madison Creek books, and the Winters will still be stable characters, but the series will branch out to other townsfolk and visitors in upcoming books.)

What I did was take out Haley and Ethan's plot and I'll incorporate it into Winter's End, the next B&B story. There's a few hints about what's going on with them in Sun Kisses, but you'll have to wait until the next installment to learn what's "really" going on.

With that said, Sun Kisses is still running on schedule and can still be pre-ordered for only .99¢ until September 10th. 

I'm finishing up the last touches and will be uploading the final version before this weekend. 

However, I still have a few scenes that I've written that simply won't work in the next book. What will I do with them? Well, those who are signed up to Castle's Story World newsletters will get a chance to read those scenes. There's one I really want to share because I plucked it right from my own experiences with a wild Michigan rivers, a canoe and an impatient partner.
